Mosaic Classes and Workshops
Mosaic artist, Sharra Frank leads mosaic classes and workshops from her mosaic studio and gallery in the Northrup King Building located in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District. Her studio provides a vibrant and creative environment along with plenty of workspace for your project. Sharra has been teaching mosaics for five years.

-Learn Sharra Frank's beautiful Glass-on-Glass technique.
-Create a unique 8.5" x 10.5" window hanging.
-Frame & hardware provided.
-Mosaic materials, adhesives & tools provided.
-Stained glass, tiles, china, glass gems, mirror, paper under glass.
-Learn to use all the basic mosaic tools, techniques & materials.
-Many mosaic tips and tricks.
-Receive Sharra's Mosaic Handout
-This workshop will meet three hours, once a week for two weeks.
-In the first class you create the mosaic, the second class you grout.
-Outside of class work maybe necessary.
-No mosaic or art experience needed.
-You are welcome to bring your own treasures as well.
-$99. All materials are provided.

Mosaic Students

Mosaic Design & Creativity Class Description

-An intensive workshop for students with at least basic mosaic skills.
-Meet twice a week for three weeks. 3 hours per class, 18 hrs total.
-$250. Basic mosaic materials, tools and adhesives are provided.
-Outside of class work maybe necessary depending on size of project.
-Receive Sharra's Mosaic Design & Creativity Handout (25+ pgs).

Plan
-Bring in your own project base (table, frame, panel, bench, ect).
-Prepare, seal, adhere, finish and grout your piece with guidance.

Design
-Be coached through the design and challenge your creativity.
-Sketch, brainstorm, implement, select colors & materials.
-Learn mosaic design terms such as opus and andamento.
-Learn how to avoid common design "mistakes".

Create
-Push and expand on your existing design ideas.
-You will leave this class feeling confident with creative energy.

Workshop Cancellation& Registration Policy
More than two weeks before class - Credit less a $25 handling fee.
This Credit may be applied to a future class fee, upon receipt
of the balance due for that class date.

Two weeks or less before class - Credit for 50% of class fee.
This credit may be applied to a future class fee, upon receipt
of the balance due for that class date.

All workshops are paid in full at time of registration.
Class space is limited to eight students.
